This exquisite hand-painted ceramic chamberstick is finished in a lustrous black glaze and decorated with ornate peacock and floral motifs in rich tones of red, green, and gold. Trimmed in real 24k gold, the design reflects the elegant, decorative style of mid to late 20th-century Greek ceramics.
Marked "Handmade in Greece – 24k Gold – Anapale" on the base, this piece was crafted by the Anapale studio, known for producing high-quality ceramics for the export market. The stylised peacocks, flowing florals, and curled handle evoke a blend of traditional Greek and Eastern design influences, making it as decorative as it is functional.
