These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the use of our website and to all purchases made through it.

1. Eligibility & Business Customers

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.

We sell to both consumers (individuals purchasing for personal use) and business customers (including wholesale or trade purchases).

If you are purchasing as a business, certain consumer protections under UK law will not apply. Business customers must ensure products are suitable for their intended commercial use.

1. Account Registration

Customers may create an account or checkout as a guest.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where misuse or breach of these Terms is suspected.

1. Products & Descriptions

We sell luxury candles and home fragrance products. Product descriptions, images, and safety information are provided for guidance only.

All products are subject to availability.
Minor variations in colour, finish, or appearance may occur due to the handmade or small-batch nature of our products.
We reserve the right to amend or discontinue products without notice.

1. Candle & Home Fragrance Safety

All candles and home fragrance products must be used strictly in accordance with the safety instructions provided on the product and packaging.

Failure to follow safety guidance — including but not limited to unattended burning, incorrect placement, or misuse — is done entirely at the customer’s own risk.

We shall not be liable for damage, loss, or injury arising from improper or unsafe use of our products.

1. Pricing & Payment

All prices are stated in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.

We accept payment via major credit and debit cards, PayPal, and Afterpay.

Payment must be received in full before orders are processed.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to cancel orders placed at incorrect prices.

1. Delivery

We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only.

Orders are despatched within 48 hours of order confirmation (excluding weekends and public holidays).
Delivery times are estimates only and not guaranteed.

Delivery charges:
Free delivery on orders over £50
£7.50 delivery fee on orders under £50

Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery.

1. Consumer Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)

If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

To exercise this right, you must notify us in writing by email within the 14-day period.

1. Returns & Refunds

Returned items must be unused, in original condition and packaging, and must not have been lit, used, or tampered with.

For hygiene and safety reasons, used candles or opened home fragrance products cannot be returned unless faulty.

Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Refunds will be processed once returned goods have been inspected.
Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless the item is faulty.

1. Faulty or Damaged Goods

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

If your item is faulty or damaged on arrival, please contact us promptly with photographic evidence so we can resolve the issue.

1. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, photography, branding, logos, product names, and designs — is the intellectual property of Biographie Atelier Ltd and is protected by UK and international intellectual property laws.

No content may be copied, reproduced, or used without prior written permission.

1. Customer Reviews & User Content

If you submit reviews or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and display that content for marketing and promotional purposes.

We reserve the right to remove content that is misleading, offensive, or unlawful.

1. Limitation of Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or fraud.

Subject to this, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse of products or failure to follow safety instructions.
Our total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product in question.

1. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
