This Victorian cast iron weight is a fine example of late 19th-century utility, now perfectly repurposed as an industrial-style doorstop. Weighing 4 pounds and measuring approximately 3.5 inches tall by 2.5 inches wide, it features a robust ring handle and a timeworn surface rich with character.
The top is clearly marked “4 LB” and bears additional lettering that appears to read “STAD,” though the final letter is worn and partially obscured. This may indicate a municipal or trade-standard origin—possibly from a city authority or commercial weighing system.
