Hand linked in solid 18k yellow gold with a matched set of rare gem quality white Australian Opals from the now depleted Mintabie mine and a total of 30 Tourmaline gems in color matched sets, to create a long hand forged chain. Each of these precious Opals displays delicate flashes of rainbow colors from every angle, echoing the rainbow colors of the Tourmaline gems.
The genuine Tourmaline gems are of a quality rarely cut into beads; with near perfect clarity, Tourmaline gems of this quality are usually faceted into ring stones as each is worthy of being a focal gem on its own. The Tourmaline gems are presented in color matched sets with colors including the coveted Indicolite blue Tourmaline, hot pink Rubellite Tourmaline, greens, golden tones and pastel pinks as well as one matched set of rare bi color Tourmaline gems.
This hand linked Opal and Tourmaline necklace is finished with one of our signature handcrafted 'S' clasps and can be worn long, wrapped around twice for a shorter style or layered with some of our other long necklaces for a contemporary layered look. This necklace can also be wrapped several times around the wrist to create a unique layered bracelet making it a very versatile piece.
As the Mintabie Opal mine is now depleted, this necklace can never be replicated, making it the perfect piece for the rare Opal collector.
